Project Overview

The BKFA has worked in Zambia since 2006.

We work mainly with these 3 organisations.
1. Sisters of Charity Chikuni Mission Hospital
2. Mukuni Village (Petter Carlmark)
3. Luangwa Safaris Association Medical Fund

This is again a country with a high maternal mortality rate of 750:100,000 live births.

Participating Organisations

Sisters of Charity

In Zambia they received their first kits in 2006 at Chikuni. 1000 kits 2007 - 2008   600 kits 2008 - 2009.
Mulanga Rural Health Centre has received 200 kits.

Mukuni Rural Health Centre

Petter Carlmark supports the Mikuni Rural Health Centre. He collects and transports any kits to Zambia along with a full container of goods. They have received 2600 kits.

Luangwa Safaris Association Medical Fund 

Have received 1000 kits. Once they have been distributed we will receive a report evaluating them.
